Overview
EGO HERO aims to make useful technical tools, but conversion, extraction, AI segmentation, automated translation, and generated reference material all have failure modes. This page explains important limits; it does not reduce rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
1. AS IS / AS AVAILABLE
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ITS OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AVAILABILITY, OR FREEDOM FROM ERROR, INTERRUPTION, OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
We do not promise that:
- the Service meets a particular requirement, standard, workflow, or procurement rule;
- a conversion preserves every pixel, frame, sample, field, type, unit, tag, font, layout, colour, timestamp, or item of metadata;
- the Service is uninterrupted, secure, compatible with every device/browser/assistive technology, or free of defects;
- a result is legally permitted, accessible, clinically valid, production-ready, or suitable for a regulated use; or
- a defect, broken dependency, inaccurate catalog item, or unavailable feature will be corrected.
2. Browser-local and server processing
Ordinary converter contents are processed in your browser. This reduces disclosure to EGO HERO but does not make your device, browser, extensions, downloads, clipboard, backups, or network environment secure. A malicious extension or compromised device can still access local content.
The AI Background Remover is different: it uploads the selected image to EGO HERO’s inference service for temporary processing. Do not rely on browser-local privacy claims for that feature and do not submit confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive imagery. See the Privacy Policy for data and retention details.
3. Tool-specific limitations
AI background removal
Segmentation models infer a foreground mask; they do not understand your intent. Hair, fur, glass, veils, motion blur, shadows, low contrast, multiple subjects, fine structures, and transparent objects can be cut incorrectly. Restoring the mask to original canvas dimensions does not restore detail the inference model failed to detect. Inspect the full-resolution alpha edge before publishing.
OCR and documents
OCR can substitute, omit, merge, reorder, or invent characters and punctuation. Document conversions can change fonts, layout, links, tables, annotations, forms, scripts, signatures, layers, and accessibility information. Compare to the source.
Audio, video, images, RAW, and subtitles
Codecs, colour management, resampling, demosaicing, channel layouts, timestamps, and container differences can cause quality loss or incompatibility. Subtitle parsing and timing can drift. Test in the intended player/editor and retain the original.
Data, archives, cryptography, and 3D/CAD
Type inference, floating-point precision, encodings, schemas, archive paths, certificate-chain expectations, units, tessellation, and curve sampling can change meaning or make output unusable. Validate with authoritative domain tooling before import, deployment, or fabrication.
DICOM and Braille
The DICOM tool is not a medical device and is not for diagnosis or treatment. The Braille converter is rule-based, uncontracted English/Persian mapping, not certified transcription. Neither output should be used for consequential medical, safety, accessibility, signage, or legal purposes without qualified review.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing on the Service is legal, medical, financial, tax, accounting, regulatory, security, accessibility-certification, engineering, or other professional advice. Tool output is a technical aid, not a substitute for qualified judgment, certified software, an authoritative record, or required professional review.
5. Generated catalog and third-party material
Design-system catalog entries are AI-assisted analyses of publicly accessible third-party websites. A model may hallucinate, generalise, mislabel, omit context, reproduce a visual imperfectly, or describe a source that has since changed. Catalog entries are not official brand guidelines, source code, licences, endorsements, or statements by the referenced owner.
Third-party names, marks, images, site content, and other protected material belong to their respective owners. Reference or inclusion does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, permission, or endorsement. Before reusing a pattern, asset, font, mark, or code, identify the source and confirm your own licence and rights. Send correction or takedown requests to hello@egohero.com.
Automated language versions of this site can also be wrong. For legal pages, consult the English source version where a translation is unclear, subject to mandatory local law.
6. Open-source libraries and external services
The Service relies on open-source and third-party technology such as FFmpeg, Tesseract, PDF.js/pdf-lib, DuckDB, sql.js, SheetJS, three.js, node-forge, dicom-parser, browser codecs, background-segmentation models, and other dependencies. Their defects, licences, browser support, upstream changes, or CDN availability can affect results.
Authentication, analytics, translation, email delivery, webfonts, runtime assets, hosting, and sandboxed catalog demos also depend on external providers. EGO HERO does not control their independent availability, policies, content, or security.
7. Availability, changes, and roadmap
We may change, limit, rename, move, or discontinue features without guaranteeing notice or backward compatibility. Queue times, model availability, catalog access, supported formats, and output can change. Roadmap, planned-feature, timing, or performance statements reflect present intent or estimates only and are not promises.
8. Mandatory rights
Some jurisdictions do not permit particular warranty exclusions or damage limitations. An exclusion or limitation applies only to the maximum extent allowed there. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights concerning fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or statutory guarantees.
