These Terms are a legal agreement between you and EGO HERO LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #31990, Casper, WY 82609 US (“EGO HERO,” “we,” or “us”).
They govern the public egohero.com website and features made available directly through it: browser-based converters, the AI Background Remover, the design-system catalog, authentication, contact and informational pages (the “Service”). This includes browsing the OmniSubs marketing page hosted here, but not processing inside the separately branded OmniSubs extension or other applications and services such as ViralHero, SiteList, and FixVibe; their applicable product terms govern that use.
1. Agreement
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Our Acceptable Use Policy and Disclaimer form part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy explain data and storage practices; they are not a waiver of rights or consent to optional processing. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and supervise your use where local law requires it. Additional parental authorisation requirements for personal data or accounts may apply under local law.
You may not use the Service if applicable sanctions, export controls, or another law prohibits us from providing it to you.
3. The Service
The Service currently includes:
- Browser-local converters. Except for the AI Background Remover, selected file contents are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to EGO HERO.
- AI Background Remover. This feature uploads an image to EGO HERO’s server, performs local model inference there, and returns a temporary result. It is subject to format, size, pixel, queue, rate, and retention limits.
- Design-system catalog. An access-gated reference catalog containing generated descriptions, demonstrations, screenshots, and links concerning public third-party sites.
- Public content and contact. Informational pages and a form for contacting us.
This scoped public Service is currently free. We may add, modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue a feature and may impose reasonable limits. We do not promise backward compatibility, permanent URLs, preservation of browser state, or restoration of an unavailable output.
4. Accounts and catalog access
Most features do not require an account. Where sign-in is available, Supabase provides Google OAuth and email magic-link authentication. You are responsible for your account and for promptly telling us about suspected unauthorised use.
Catalog access can require manual approval. We may approve, reject, revoke, or re-review access in our discretion, subject to applicable law. Do not share gated material or use another person’s account without permission.
5. Acceptable use
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must not:
- submit or process content you do not own or lack authority to handle;
- violate law, intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, confidentiality, sanctions, or export-control obligations;
- submit highly sensitive, regulated, or confidential imagery to the server-side Background Remover;
- attack, probe, overload, bypass, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its authentication, rate limits, or access controls;
- transmit malware, facilitate fraud, create unlawful deceptive media, or exploit or endanger a minor; or
- use output in a safety-critical, clinical, legal, financial, or regulated decision without appropriate independent review.
6. Your content and limited permission
You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed to submit and process it.
Browser-local converter contents are not sent to EGO HERO, so you grant us no content licence for those files. For the AI Background Remover, you grant EGO HERO a temporary, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to receive, validate, host, transform, and return the image solely to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and legally operate that feature. We do not acquire ownership and do not use the image to train a model.
We process account and contact information to authenticate you, administer access, route and answer your communication, protect the Service, and comply with law as described in our Privacy Policy. This paragraph is not a content licence or a request for privacy consent.
7. Design-system catalog and third-party rights
Catalog entries are AI-assisted analyses generated from publicly accessible third-party sites. They can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong and are not official documentation. A reference to a company, product, site, mark, or visual style does not imply affiliation, permission, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Third-party names, logos, trademarks, source material, and other protected content remain the property of their respective owners. EGO HERO claims rights only in its original contributions and any protectable selection, arrangement, code, or generated material to the extent the law permits. We do not represent that every public-source item is licensed for reuse outside the limited display or reference context in which it appears.
To request a correction, attribution review, or takedown, email hello@egohero.com with the catalog/source URL, the right or interest affected, and enough information for us to assess the request. Do not send sensitive identity material unless requested.
8. EGO HERO intellectual property
EGO HERO’s original site code, layout, branding, copy, and other original content are owned by EGO HERO or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.
You may not remove proprietary notices, use EGO HERO marks without written permission, or frame, mirror, redistribute, resell, or systematically copy a substantial portion of the Service, except where we authorise it or applicable law grants a right we cannot restrict.
9. Third-party services and links
Features can interact with providers including Hostinger, Supabase, Google (OAuth, optional Analytics, Translate, Fonts, and Gmail mailbox delivery), Mailgun, Kie.ai and selected upstream catalog-model providers, unpkg, jsDelivr, and third-party image/font hosts inside sandboxed demonstrations. Their services, content, uptime, and independent data practices are governed by their own terms.
Links to third-party sites and products are provided for convenience. EGO HERO does not control or endorse those third parties and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, transactions, or terms. Separately branded EGO HERO products are governed by their own applicable terms as described above.
10. No warranty
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, OR FREEDOM FROM ERROR OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
We do not warrant that a conversion preserves fidelity, an OCR result is correct, an AI cutout follows the intended boundary, a catalog entry matches its source, or any output is suitable for your purpose. Review the Disclaimer and independently verify output before use.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EGO HERO AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID EGO HERO FOR THIS SCOPED SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT OR USD $100.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including where applicable liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by negligence, or non-waivable consumer rights. If local law disallows a limit, it applies only to the maximum extent allowed.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify EGO HERO and its personnel against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs to the extent caused by your unlawful content or conduct, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other right. This does not require a consumer to indemnify us for our own negligence, breach, or unlawful conduct. We will give reasonable notice and may control the defence; you may not settle a claim imposing an obligation on us without written consent.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to protect the Service, comply with law, respond to risk or abuse, or address a breach. Where reasonable and lawful, we may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and accrued rights.
14. Changes
We may revise these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will update the effective date and, for material changes, provide notice where reasonably practicable. Revised Terms apply prospectively from their effective date. If you do not agree, stop using the Service; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Wyoming law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections of the law of their habitual residence or another law that cannot be waived. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
16. Individual arbitration and class-action waiver
16.1 Informal resolution first
Before filing arbitration, a party must send a written notice describing the dispute and requested relief. Send yours to hello@egohero.com with “Notice of dispute” in the subject. The parties will try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or meeting a filing deadline.
16.2 Binding individual arbitration
Unresolved disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under the rules then applicable to the claim, including its Consumer Arbitration Minimum Standards where applicable. You may instead elect the American Arbitration Association Consumer Arbitration Rules. Applicable consumer fee protections control. A consumer may participate remotely or in their home jurisdiction where required by the administrator’s rules or law. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.
16.3 Class-action waiver
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND EGO HERO WILL BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. If this waiver is unenforceable for a particular claim or remedy, that portion must proceed in a court of competent jurisdiction rather than class arbitration.
16.4 Exceptions
Either party may use an eligible small-claims court. Either may seek urgent injunctive relief concerning intellectual-property misuse, security, unauthorised access, or abuse. Nothing prevents a report to or remedy from a government regulator, and no individual public-injunctive-relief right is waived where law prohibits that waiver.
16.5 30-day opt-out
You may opt out by emailing hello@egohero.com within 30 days after first accepting these Terms. Use “Arbitration opt-out” as the subject and include your name, the account email if any, and an unambiguous opt-out statement. Opting out does not affect the rest of the Terms.
17. Miscellaneous
These Terms, the AUP, and Disclaimer are the entire agreement about this scoped Service. If a provision is invalid, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without consent; we may assign them in a merger, restructuring, financing, or asset transfer. There are no third-party beneficiaries.
Automated translations are for convenience. The English version controls in a conflict to the extent permitted by law, and mandatory local-language or consumer rights remain unaffected. Notices may be delivered through the Service or to an account email. Legal notices to us must be sent to hello@egohero.com and, where formal service is required, to the postal address below.
