FAQ
Will ASS formatting tags survive in WebVTT?
Most styling tags are stripped — WebVTT doesn't support ASS's positioning, font, or animation overrides. Plain text and line breaks are preserved.
Does my subtitle file upload to a server?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and Web APIs. Open the Network tab in DevTools while you convert — you'll see no outbound traffic carrying your file.
Is this really free?

Is there a file size limit?
